Yes, glue-on nails cause problems. The chemical the glue is made of is toxic. Due to not being in contact with air, nails become thin and brittle. Moreover, when I take off those glue-on nails, part of my natural nail layer coatings get yanked out. After using glue-on nails for some time, the color of my nails turned slightly paler.

I do not believe glue on nails are bad for you. It has more to do with the actual tools being used. If the tools are not sanitized they can cause infections. It has nothing to do with the actual nails and/or nail glue being used. I think that is a myth.

Your nails change in the winter just like your skin. So in the winter it is important to keep your nails mositurized. It a hard to do this with glue on nails. This is by no means the only problems. Lets talk about the ingrediant called (formaldehyde), may cause cancer. It can result in the lose of your real nail.
