Aerosol can crushers are designed to safely empty the can of any remaining aerosol, storing any ozone-harming chemicals for proper disposal. If the cans were not emptied and crushed, the chemicals would eventually seep out anyway as the container broke down in the landfill.

Yes.There are very dangerous because aerosols still remains in cans.It is proved that aerosols can damage ozone layer. We all can suffer from this.Consequences are global warming and a large amount of U.V radiation.
