The player that is the fastest from home to first is probably Seattle Mariners right fielder Ichiro Suzuki. His hitting style along with batting from the left side helps out.

I have never seen a stat on this feat but the following players are the fastest I have seen this season Ichiro Suzuki, Brett Gardner, Jose Reyes, Jacoby Ellsbury, Austin Jackson, BJ Upton, Carl Crawford, Nyger Morgan and Rajai Davis all have strong cases that can be made for them.

It is beleived to be Ichiro Suzuki, the Right Fielder for the Seattle Mariners. He swings while he is already running to first.

In an in-game situation, not a flat sprint, the fastest player to first base would be Ichiro Suzuki. His natural speed, added to being a left-handed batter and the way he lunges toward first to end his swing gives him an edge over everyone else.
