At 5'3" Tyrone 'Muggsy' Bogues was the shortest basketball player in NBA history,at 5'5" Earl Boykins is the shortest basketball player actively playing in the NBA, Spud Webb, at 5'7" is the shortest player ever to win a slam dunk competition, also Nate Robinson, 5'9" has won a slam dunk competition.

Eddie Gaedel. He was 3 feet, 7 inches tall, and he had one at-bat for the St. Louis Browns in 1951. He drew a walk on four pitches and was lifted for a pinch runner. His uniform number was 1/8. The shortest REAL player was probably Fred Patek, 5'4".
