Where is the best place to get cashiers or bank checks?

You can get cashiers checks from a teller at your local bank. You may need to be a customer of the bank (in which case they can deduct the amount from your account) or else bring cash. There is usually a nominal fee (cents to a few dollars). Commercial places like Western Union will charge much larger fees.

You should get it from a Bank. Cashiers or Bank check carrys a guarantee by the issuing bank that it will be honoured when presented , if otherwise in order.

The only place to get a cashier's check or bank check is from the branch of a bank. You should start with your own bank -- call and ask if there is a fee for members of the bank to get a cashier's or bank check (which there likely will be, even for members). Call other banks for comparisons.
