If you have a bank account, endorse the check on the back and deposit it at your bank. If you do not, take the check to a Wells Fargo branch. If the check is written out to "cash", it is payable to whoever presents it. If it is written out to a person, you may need to provide identification.

In order to cash a Wells Fargo check, you will need a picture ID. Plus they will ask you for a fingerprint. Please contact the local bank to make sure they do need anything else.

You will need to first go to a Wells Fargo banking center in your area. They will ask you to provide 2 forms of ID.

There are three things you need to cash a wells fargo check. A valid form of id, the check with a signature and a bank or place that accepts checks.

In order to cash a check from wells fargo, you will need to take 2 forms of ID such as your drivers license, social security card, state id card, or passport. they will also take a thumbprint from you.
