Where can I get some new ideas for embellishments for the cards I make?

Break out of your comfort zone by going to places you'd never expect to carry embellishments and then see what you can find. For instance, the hardware store has washers, paint chips, chain and duct tape, which could all make for unique embellishments.

You can use ribbon, buttons, pins, calligraphy, scrapbook lettering and sayings. Rubber stamp the outside or inside and color with pencil or markers for stenciling. They have cutout that you can use on the corners of the card.

You can always search for ideas online. Search sites such as etsy which has a lot of handmade items. You may be able to get some ideas from what others have done. Think of unique items, use items from nature such as sea shells, twigs, leaves, and dried or pressed flowers.
