They make great little pets. and if you raise them with kids they will be great with them. They will prtect them from other people and they will play with them just like another child they are also very easy to houe train and they don't eat much at all.

Any time you adopt a dog you must make sure it fits your lifestyle. A shitzu poodle may be a very nice dog but small dogs are sometimes bad with children. As well as this type of dog will likely need to be groomed so that is a monthly expense.

Id you're referring to a shitzu-poodle mix then you'll have a dog with lots of energy, grooming needs, and intelligence. Not the best pet for a family with babies, but they're not a bad choice for a family with children ages 6 and up. Be sure to train them young.
