If not advanced, excersize and physical therapy. If severe enough, your doctor may recommend a discectomy (removal), bone fusion (from a cadaver or from your hip, and a titanium plate installed to stabilize the spine followed by more physical therapy. Overall, a common surgury that you can recover from in just a few weeks.

It depends on how bad the disk bulge is. Often a mild painkiller and proper excercise will solve the problem.
