The biggest thing to keep in mind is that Curly Tails should not be mixed with other lizards. The curly tail are insectivores, they like to eat crickets, meal worms, house fly, and just about any bug that might be drawn to your porch light. Always place a dish of water in the tank to allow for proper humidity.

Curly tails enjoy the sun so provide a terrarium with good lighting and a soft substrate for them to bask in. Clean water should always be available. Crickets and mealworms are part of a good diet for any lizard and their diet can also include fruit.

These need alot of brushing and cleaning, as their fur can be matted quite easily. Bath every other week and be sure to brush right when the fur is dry.

They need to be kept in a climate of at least 80 degrees during the day and a little cooler at night is okay. Low temperatures are the main threat to this species.

The best thing for you to do is to do an intensive internet search and you can even go and ask a vet online and they will usually answer you in about 24 hours.

The enclosure should have humidity of 60% - 80% but should have a dry area also. Temperature should be 70 degrees on one side and 90 degrees on the other side for basking. Have fresh water available an a shallow bowl. They eat insects, you can offer crickets, mealworms, and waxworms, try fruits and veggies too. Dust food with appropriate vitamins.
