If you have any elephant figurines the trunks of the elephants must be up. Some folks believe if you have one of these elephants good fortune will come your way.

Ganesha, who is the Hindu god of prosperity, has the head of an elephant. The story goes that Ganesha's mother, Parvati, was proud of her son and requested the other gods look at him. One of the gods, Sani, had a fiery gaze that burned off Ganesha's head, which was replaced with the head of an elephant.
