Elephant ears grow best in pots because they must be brought inside during the winter. Keep your plants outside during the summer where they will receive partial sun. Keep the soil moist and fertilize at the beginning of the summer. Bring the pots inside during the winter and water as the soil dries. Keep the plants near a window.

If you are growing elephant ears now and they are already pot bound, you can cut off portions at the periphery and replant them to propage. If you are looking to produce a pot bound plant, over fertilize, give sun , water and wait.

I'm not sure what you're asking. You can "pot bind" any plant by allowing it to grow beyond it's space, just keep doing what you're doing and don't transplant.

The pot bound elephant ears are grown in hanging baskets. These are usually sun loving plants. It grows wonderfully in full sun.

If you are wanting to grow these types of plants then you will need to plant and soil them in the winter.
