If you are going to replace your own car belts it will be a lot cheaper than taking it somewhere. You will spend about 40 dollars on the belts and if you take it to a shop they will charge you about 150 dollars to do it.

To replace car belts is not very expensive unless you have a foreign made car. All belts can be purchased at an auto supply store and put them on yourself. You may have to buy a special wrench to replace some of the belts.

If you get a replacement belt installed in yout car there are two scenarios. If all the service man does is change a serpentine belt then it should run about $25. However, during these processes the tensioner can often need replacing or else your belt will just fall off without it, that can run upwards to $125

Cost vary depending on how many belts your car has. Some cars have separate belts for each component, ex. alternator, a/c compressor, and power steering pump. Some cars use whats called a serpentine belt. This is one belt that drives all the belt driven components on the engine. Belt prices also vary depending on length.

Well if you can do it yourself it is pretty cheap. Each belt should cost less than $20 a piece. Whoever if you pay to have them changed you will be paying for the belts as well as the labor. Which can cost upward of $100 per hour. Prices can also vary depending on where you live.
