The timing belt is one of the most costly fix's on your car. The dealership will be more then a shop and will charge 1300-300 for more expensive cars. Small shops will charge 400-1800.

There is no way I can give you an accurate quote. I would have to know more about the car as well as where you live. To find out a price you actually need to call the shops and dealers yourself. Most should be able to give you an estimate over the phone.

Timing belt repair costs will vary by engine/ vehicle. They can range anywhere from $600 to $2000 depending on how much parts cost and how much labor is involves.

Really this is hard to tell you. If you had given information as to what year, make, model, or type of engine would be getting the work it would help. To get the best estimate you really should do some calling around to local shops. Some might require you to bring the actual car in for an estimate.

You can go into a auto parts store and get a timing belt and fix it yourself. Or go in and get an estamite.
