Influenza, also known as the flu, is an contagious respriratory infection caused by influenza A and B viruses. There are 3 different types of the flu, A, B, and C. A and B are the types that give you the fever, chills and achy bodies. Type C is much less severe.

Influenza is a viral infection. Symptoms of the virus are fever, body aches, chills, headache dry cough and sore throat. It is normal that you may be less hungry and you will feel very tired during the first 3 or 4 days which are the worst parts of the virus.
