This is a setting for garments that are of wash and wear, you use this setting when you want to pull garment from the clothing and wear it or hang it up or fold it versus having to go through the trouble of ironing it after it comes out of the dryer

This means that the clothing being washed is made of a blend of fabrics such as cotton, polyster, rayon, silk or spandex. It also means that the washing cycle is not as long as those that are 100% cotton or heavily soiled. You expect this was cycle to require less cleaning since have a more delicated blend of fabrics.

This is the cycle that involves a clothing type that has seams already on the clothing that need to be held there. The washer is on a temperature setting that preserves this quality. If its too hot, it will not hold that seam as well as when it's a little cooler.

Permanent pressed clothing can last awhile and this setting on the washer is more applied for this than other options on the washer.
