If you are in your forties or older, it's most likely a sign that you are heading towards menopause (also know as "perimenopause"). Periods often skip and/or become irregular during perimenopause. If you are under forty years old, I suggest that you see a doctor because it is most likely caused by hormonal imbalance.

It means your having irregular periods.Every woman's body is different. Irregular periods can be caused by your stress level, diet or medications.
