What could be causing a Mitsugishi Galant to stall when the cooling fans come on?

The only reason I can think of would be a short somewhere within the fan system. If there was two wires touching it could trigger an in line fuse breaker and shut off the ignition, which would shut your car off. If you've got a belt driven fan then you could have a bad fan pulley

The car stops because it needs a rest. The cooling fans are only another indication that the car just wants to stop and refresh itself.

What could be the problem is that your engine is too hot, so when the cooling fan kicks on your car is already running to hot causing it to stall.

If your fans are pulling to much amperage it could be the cause of the vehicle stalling. Most probable cause will be something in the charging system is weak. Have your battery and alternator checked.

it could be a short in the wires or it could be that your computer might be thinking that it is overheating it is hard to tell without useind a computer scan tool that they have at the dealership or the egr valve is not workin correctly i would take that in and have it fixed
