What causes bladder pain?

Many things can cause you bladder to hurt. Infections are usually the biggest cause but there are also urinary tract infections, Holding your urine for too long causing the bladder to stretch, cancer, or a cut or tear in the bladder. Also excessive exercise could cause your bladder to feel bruised or leak, especially when the you run too much.

Bladder pain can be caused by a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection. Over the counter drugs for urinary tract infections will help ease the pain until you can get to a doctor.

There are a few causes of pain in the bladder area. It could or could not be serious.. But, bladder pain is always something that should be checked out by a physician. Bladder pain could mean you have a bladder infection, it could also mean a kidney infection or some type of cancer as well.

You might have a urinary infection. Do you also have a sore back? If the problem persists you should go to the doctor. If it's an infection, he can give you medcine to have you back on your feet in no time! Interstitial Cystitis is a cause of pain and is due to an irregular bladder lining.
