Keeping the cage clean will help eliminate the odor. If the cage is clean, the mouse will be clean. Cages should be cleaned every few days. If the cage is kept clean and the odor persists, carefully wiping the mouse down with a wash cloth that has been wet with warm water should do the trick.

Give the mouse a bath with soap and water with a good scent. Also, make sure the habitat it is in is clean. This could be the cause of odor.

The musky odor of the mouse has to do with the fact that it is running around in its excrements, clean the cage often, new newspaper at the bottom.

Male mice will scent mark. If you place a glass jar on its side where pet does his peeing, he'll mark there. You can rinse the jar as needed.
