Lithium is a Alkali metal of physical properties being soft malleable metal,Low Melting point and Low density. It has the smallest atom radius due to having only 2 main electron shells (2,1). Lithium reacts with Water to produce lithium hydroxide and hydrogen gas. 2li + 2h20 = 2lioh + h2
