Many property managers charge 10% of the monthly rental rate to manage a property. If managing multiple properties for one person or a large multi-dwelling building, the charge may be 5-10% of the monthly total rent.

The fee would depend on the property, how many units/tenants/amenities/services and the scope of responsibilities. This would all be worked out in a proposal, then the management company would submit its bid for the job that has been described by the property owners. Once you determine exactly what you need, contact two or three companies for bids.

A typical fee is 10% of the rent, usually collected on a monthly basis as rent is paid. The fees can be reduced to about 8% for multiple properties. But there are also other fees, a property manager may charge 10-15% of any repairs contracted by them and they also charge up to one month's rent for placing a tenant.
