Well from experience, I know that ring necked doves like to eat small seeds, worms, and even bits of fruit. They will also eat bread and crackers and things that pigeons would like.
Doves will eat leftover pieces of pickled olives,pizza box and even butter. They will spend hours by picking gravel and dirt. Seeds are more complete diet,they know what to eat.
The main food of doves are paddy,rice,wheat,seeds and other drained things. Paddy is the like food for doves. In the time of agriculture season the doves come on land and take foodgrains.
idk mostly, but i know that they are groundfeeders-meaning that they feed on the ground. if u wanna check out ground feeders, as in birds, they might only show u the actual ground feeder itself
