There are many possible side effects for hydrocodone, but the five chief ones are immediate nausea and light headedness, severe drowsiness, disorientation (or brain fogginess), adverse interaction with other medication or alcohol (which may be severe enough that you cease breathing), and possibly addiction if you have an addictive personality.

Unless taken with food, it can create nausea. Yes, it can make you addicted, drowsy, hazy, irritable and you may fall asleep or, unusually, it can agitate, making sleep impossible.
