You must ask the interviewee if she possesses the following: good communication skills, both written and oral; has good /accurate typing speed; experience and with a pleasing personality.

First ask what they are qualified to do and how well their skills are developed such as how many words they can type, what type of computer programs they are able to do, and if they take any type of dictation, ask about their organization skills as well.

Some good questions might include: 1. What software packages (i.e., Microsoft Office) are you proficient in? 2. Do you have experience managing multiple executive calendars? 3. What is your current typing speed? 4. Are you comfortable handling a mutli-line phone system? 5. Do you have experience creating letters, presentations and spreadsheets?

Explain all aspects of their job. Hours. Who will they be answering too. Do you have knowledge of the computer and what programs do you know. What is your prior work history. Explain this is a small or big company ans this is what we expect. If you are late or sick we need to know as soon as possible.
