Do you have any prior experience working as a receptionist or vet assistant? Give an example of a difficult customer you dealt with and how you handled the situation. What is the most important skill required of a receptionist? What kind of computer software and applications are you proficient with? How are your typing skills and speeds?

you should expect questions along the line of do you like animals. They will probably ask if you are afraid of dogs or allergic to cats as well. They will certainly be looking for someone who is not afraid to get dirty. Also looking for an upbeat energetic happy person.

The main tasks involved in being a receptionist - anywhere - require a few basic skills. First will be your experience in data entry, working with computers (whichever the prospective employer uses... PC or Mac), typing skills, writing skills, and most importantly your social skills.

You will likely be asked what experience you have working in an office, particularly in a medical office. You will be asked about your experience with animals as well.

I don't know what they would be but here are my observations from having pets for 45 years. Most (99%) Receptionists love animals and people, are not alarmed by sickness and also know how to calm animals who are anxious. They usually have a knack for calming scared Humans too. I'm sure some questions will cover these issues.
