Crossovers have become a popular design for car companies in recent years. They combine the benefits of a low center of gravity from a sedan with the increased size of a sport utility vehicle. They are similar in size to minivans and often have four doors with a backward hatch (fifth door). They do not combine cars with planes/boats.
