Glucosamine is used to help encourage the development of lubricating fluids within the joints in any dog, at any age. It is used in conjunction with chondroitin which helps build the slick surface of the joint, so it slides past the surface of the joint better.

Glucosamine has been shown in studies to be a very effective treatment for arthritis in many dogs of all different breeds. Depending upon your specific dog, it might or might not be the best treatment, so consult your vet for a proper diagnosis.

Yes, glucosamine is perfectly safe for Lhasa Apsos breeds. It helps with sore and stiff joints, especially as these little guys get older.

Glucosamine is generally recommended for dogs that are having problems with their joints and with limb soreness. This medication should be fine as long as your dog is displaying symptoms.

Indeed! I would highly recommend it for any discomfort caused by arthritic joint pain. Veterinarians routinely advise owners to administer glucosamine; often in conjunction with chondroitin. The dosage will depend on the circumstances; ask you pet care expert.

Yes, however check with your veterinarian for the best dosage for your dog's size and health. Also, you should be aware that most of the cheaper drugstore supplements lack consistency in their quality.

No not unless you talk to the vet first you have to know exactly how much to give them and how often and if they don't need it. It can kill them and I am sure that is not what you want.

Glucosamine is wonderful for older dogs of any breed. It helps keep your dogs hips and joints active and healthy. Your dog will feel so much better and it will actually help to extend their lives since their joints don't ache as bad. Make sure you are giving the proper doses and you should be fine.

Usually glucosamine is ok for all breeds of dogs, although individual dogs need to be taken into account. Before giving glucosamine, make sure that blood work is done and that your dog doesn't have any risk factors. As when a dogs starts any new medication, keep a close eye on it to make sure there are no bad reactions.
