Go into the Start menu, and then select the My Computer icon. A window will come up with a list of your drives. Right click on the XP drive, and then select Properties. At the top of this dialog, you can change the name - then click OK.

Open 'my computer' from the start menu or from the desktop. Right click the drive you want to rename and click properties in the menu. Once open type the new name in the 'Label' text box, click apply/okay button.

Although you can go to "Disk Management" in Control Panel and then change the drive letter, this would not be possible for your Windows drive. The reason being that Windows ALWAYS uses C: for its primary drive. Infact if you try to rename the drive, it may cause serious errors.
