Deviled ham is named such because of its spicy flavor. They vary with the kind of spices that the person or manufacturer has put in to flavor the ham. Some contain garlic, terragon, cayenne pepper, sour cream, green onions or scallions, black pepper and hot sauce. These ingredients are added to canned or baked ham and just varied to taste.
