Fire ants! Yuk! Making soap suds with dish or laundry soap and pour it on the ants is suppose to kill them immediately. Buy an insect called nematodes, mix with distilled water and pour all around your yard, they sting and eat the ants. Diatomaceous Earth is another good one.
