yes lysol clean the carpet very well. the reason lies in the disinfectant property of lysol. it is very effective in removing odor. it kills the hidden germs and insects

Lysol was not designed to clean carpets. It was made to be used as a disinfectant. Unless there is a lysol product made to clean carpets, I would use a product specifically made for carpet cleaning.

I do not think that it does. If you are trying to clean a carpet, I would just get a carpet cleaner.

Regular Lysol spray will kill bacteria and germs. But a carpet cleaner will loosen dirt so that it can be vacuumed out afterwards. You can get carpet cleaner in a spray can, or you can rent a carpet cleaner machine by the hour. Plan to vacuum at the end.

For me, no. Lysol is topical and while it does have disinfectant in it, it does not get deep into the carpet. I think you would have to apply it in large amounts. Everyday traffic, kids, pets bring in a number of bacteria etc. Steam cleaning is best.

I took this product and threw it on the floor. It lay there dormant for a month, gathering dust, and creating a hazard to walkers. So, no.
