Does corn grow in the wild?

Answer by  msjanetjones (158)

Corn belongs to the grass family but due to the need to cross pollinate it cannot grow in the wild. In order for corn to cross pollinate it must be planted in even rows. If it cannot cross pollinate it cannot produce the ears of corn as we know it.
