Question by  HappyBusMan (30)

Does anyone have any views on Worldmark timeshares?

I am thinking about buying with Worldmark and would like to know other people's experiences.

There are many things to consider, not the least of which is the ongoing maintenance and annual fees. It's also been quite commone to see 'shares' for sale on eBay, but you really have to know what each level entails. See if you can visit as a guest before you committ. Try several properties.

I've been a WorldMark owner for 5 years, and I have had a great experience! I've been to several of their properties - Victoria, Midway, Estes Park, Depoe Bay, and Kihei - and I have been impressed with every one. There's always a place available, it's free, the rooms are awesome and the staff is always helpful!

In a word, bad. You pay as much for a week at a time share as you would for a hotel room AND fees worth that much each year.

Someone probably does have views on the Worldmark timeshares. I, do not have any views on it since i do not know much about it. A lot of people probably don't.

Timeshares are typically a rip off. You are paying an annual contract for the right to vacation at a spot. If you ever change your mind, you cannot sell the time share except for pennies on the dollar. If you cannot pay or don't use it, you are still obligated for the fees and can be sued for not paying.
