Does anybody get tuberculosis now?

Yes. Tuberculosis was almost eradicated as a disease with nearly universal vaccine. Because not all people were vaccinated, new strains were able to develop that are resistant to many powerful antibiotics. Cases of TB are not common, but their level of seriousness is growing.

Yes, it is still very common in developing countries, where health conditions are bad and also with people that have some kind of immunodeficiency (AIDS being the main one).

It is still possible to get Tuberculosis. This is especially true in crowded populations. For instance, there is an increased incidence in jails and homeless shelters. People who are infected with the HIV virus also are at an increased rate of contacting Tuberculosis. Luckily, we have improved treatments for this disease today.
