Do they still make Astro vans?

Those were always the best cars.

No, the Chevy Astro van stopped production quite a while ago. Being truck-based and rear- or all-wheel-drive, they were less efficient than car-based front-wheel-drive units. They were replaced by the Chevrolet Venture, which in turn was replaced with the Chevrolet Uplander, which has ceased production and now Chevrolet doesn't even make a minivan. You can still get a Chevy Express.

The Astro Vans were discontinued after 2005 due to declining sales. The government had created new standards for side impact and head injury. Therefore, General Motors felt it would not be profitable to continue production. The Astro was replaced by the Chevrolet Uplander which was a crossover suv. It has since been discontinued.
