How do I replace a window switch for a 1992 Chevrolet Astro van?

Open the car door panel being careful not to disturb any of the components. You will need a screwdriver for this procedure. Set the screws aside to be used during reassembly. Look for the window switch. Once found remove and then replace the switch. Replace the car door panel with the screws that were set aside.

You will notice a simple phillips head screw holding the switch plate to the door. Unscrew this screw and you will have access to the switch. Once you have access install the new switch in the old ones place and secure it using the same clip system. Reinstall the panel and you are good to go.

Unplug your batter. Open door and remove the door panel. It will be held on with pop screws be careful not to break them. Once the panel is removed you will be able to replace the switch.
