Can you train your old dwarf hamster?

You can't train them to do things too outside their nature. You can teach a hamster to respond to a name, train it not to escape even if it's pen is open, and train it to come to you. It'll take a while though. Best to start when it's young.

I'm sure you can train your old dwarf hamster. i'm not sure if it would be worth the time though.hamsters only live 3 years. and it would be very hard to try to train one.

The only way to know for sure is to try it. Just because it is old does not mean that it cant learn anything new. Every hamster is going to be different from each other just like people. Some are smarter than others and will pick things up quicker for the most part.

Yes, training your hamster can be done. By providing a lot of treats attention and care. Make sure your start with easy tricks don't expect your hamster to run marathons.

Maybe. It depends on the individual hamster and how intelligent he or she is. As a whole, hamsters are not a species that are very easily trained. You will have even more trouble training one that is old, because as animals get older they generally become harder to teach new things.
