Vinegar does not actually kill all types of bugs, but it can be used to keep them from coming up through drains by soaking a rag with vinegar and placing it over the openings throughout your house. Then, It mainly acts as a deterrent to make the insects move to another location.

It can't actually kill them. You can use vinegar to soak a washcloth and then put that in the drain. Do not forget you cannot use the drain for a few hours afterwards. This will kill some bugs but you will have to repeat the process lots of times if this is the method you want to use.

Vinegar can kill some types of bugs, but not all of them. To do so, fill a large bowl with vinegar, and soak some wash clothes in them. Place one of those washclothes over ever drain of your home. After several hours remove them, and do not rinse. The vinegar will kill or drive them out of your house.

Yes it can, especially in the case where you put vinegar in a small pot and also add there sweet smelling dish washing liquid. This mix attracts some bugs so much that they want to go to taste it. When they try that, they will get jammed in the mix and die.
