Cinch bugs infest where there is little water, low nitrogen, and a dense thatch. A home remedy is 2 Tablespoons of liquid detergent to 1 Gallon of water. Sprinkle it over the area and cover with a flannel white cloth. The bugs come up and stick to the cloth. A commercial insecticide that you can use is Scott's Bug-B Gone.

Well if you want to get rid of them just spray raid all over the lawn. It might change the color of your grass though.

You can kill these bugs naturally by mixing 1 gallon of room temperature water with 2 tablespoons of natural liquid soap and 2 drops of olive oil. Spray mixture on grass and other plants affected, remaining mixture can be stored 3 to 4 months.

Chemicals are very toxic to humans and pets, try easy home remedy. Mix 3 parts of water to 1 part liquid dish detergent.Pour and saturate the yellow spots on lawn. Cover with white sheet/cloth. Leave for 1 hour. Bugs leave grass and attach to sheet. Toss sheet in trash.
