Can a two-month-old baby eat cereal?

No. The current physical development will not allow chewing or swallowing. Additionally, the tongue movement required to swallow has not been mastered at such a young age. Diet for that age should be breast milk or formula only at least until the infant is able to sit and hold it's head up without assistance.

The recommended age for starting solids (including rice and other cereals) is between 4 and 6 months old. Your child will show signs of readiness, such as sitting up well on their own (or slightly supported), or showing interest in things you might be eating. Discuss with his/her doctor.

my sons 2 months old ..and we started him on rice-cereal about a week ago..he digests it fine&his bowel movements are the same. the only difference hes had was how full he was getting and how often he got hungry.he enjoys the cereal! eats off the spoon already as well.

No, they should not. Their stomachs are not yet ready for solid food. Do not give a baby solid food, including rice cereal or baby cereal of any kind, until they are least six months old.

Babies that young really shouldn't be eating cereal yet. They can't really swallow and digest the cereal property at that age. Stick with breast-milk or formula until your baby is 4-6 months old. If your pediatrician says you can start cereal earlier that is probably okay, but I'd check first.
