Gas is formed in your intestines during digestion. The only way for it to get to your baby is for it to get in your blood stream. Thats why they say not to drink or smoke while breast feeding. The nicotine and alcohol make it into your blood stream and filter into your breast milk. Gassy foods are safe.
They might not get gas, but they will be upset and probably awake all night with stomach problems. Stay away from broccoli, brussel sprouts and spicy foods.
Foods that you eat have a different result when the nutrients are passed to the baby. For example, garlic makes breast milk very sweet. For some babies caffiene gives them gas. The best solution is not eat it for two weeks and then eat all you want and see what effect it has.
