Why won't the blades turn on my Cub Cadet LT1050?

There are several possibilties. The belt may be off. The belt tension pulley may not be engaging, The belt or under deck is clogged, and will not allow the blades to engage properly. The belt may be worn out, or if equipped, the electronic engage unit is not working properly.

There are many possibilities as to why the blades won't engage. Check that all belts are there and are tight, verify that the lever to engage the blades is working correctly. Also you may have a faulty safety switch, or fuse. The most common reason though is often something wrapped around the blades.

Try turning on your PTO switch. It probably has a picture of gears or something related on it-- this should solve and problems you are having with the blade operaion.

It could very well be that there is something stuck in them. You might not even be able to see it with the naked eye. I hate to say this, but you should probably take it to a professional.

could be loose belts on the power drive maybe a tension bar is gone could be something obstrukting the blades
