No. A newborn baby often has yellow poop, especially if you are breast feeding him or her. Many formulas will also cause the baby to produce a yellow bowel movement for the first several months until solids are introduced.

No need for alarm, breast feeding babies poop several times a day and they are yellow and seedy. Formula fed babies poop less and it is usually green or dark yellow.

You need not be worried for this. A healthy baby should have yellow poop. Or your baby's normal body temperature may be a bit high. Bathe the baby for some more time or increase the frequency of it. If the mother breast feeds, it is better to avoid eating gas creating food items like lentils, chick peas etc.

My baby has yellow poops too and it is perfectly normal. I would worry if the baby is not gaining weight.

The more your baby eats, the more they will poop. Breast fed babies tend to have a mustard yellow poop. Bottle fed babies tend to have more of a tan colored poop. It can be startling to see newborn's poop but don't worry because the plumbing is working!
