Orville Clarence Redenbacher (1907 – 1995) grew up in Indiana and graduated Purdue University. As a kid, he belonged to 4H and was "obsessed" with creating the "perfect popcorn. " He was closely associated with his brand. Since his passing, a number of actors have played the part of Redenbacher in print and broadcast advertisements.

Orville Redenbacher was born on a small farm in Indiana. He experimented with 1000's of types of popcorn until he started selling his "Gourmet Popping Corn. " He died in 1995.
