Princess Beanie was a Collector Item Beanie Baby made in the memory of Princess Diana in 1997. The profit went to raise some money for Princess Diana's favorite charities. At first there were only twelve made and later they were made for mass retail. The original ones are worth millions.

The Princess Beanie Baby came to market in October, 1997 to commemorate Princess Diana who had died three months earlier. Proceeds were intended for her favorite charities. At first, only 12 of the purple bears with the white rose embroidered on the chest were sent to each authorized dealer, but they were later mass-marketed. Princess was retired in April, 1999.
