There were ten original Care Bears and they were first introduced in the 1980's. The original Care Bears were named Bedtime Bear, Birthday Bear, Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Love-A-Lot Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and Wish Bear. Each Care Bear was unique and had its own special symbol featured on its stomach.
