Yes, you can take your road test at other locations. For example, i went to the DMV website and went to register my road test. The webstie gave me the option of choosing where i wanted to go. So, i took it in a neighboring town.

In California you must go to the DMV or a certified driving school, but you must get the liscense from the DMV.

No, driving test centers are just a part of the DMV. To find where they are, visit your states DMV website.

Many cities have driving schools and you should be to find them listed in the yellow pages under driving instruction.
