The festival training begins on February 12 and doesn't end until May 29. As you may be aware the festivak spans three months and includes many activities for both the fan and the racer. The festival begins with training for the drivers and ends with the big race on May May 29th!
The Indianapolis 500 Festival, often called the Indy 500, takes place yearly on Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day the last Monday of May which in 2011 will be on May 30th, therefore the 28th and 29th are the Indy 500.
The Indianapolis 50 Festival takes place during the month of May. The festival comes to a close at the end of May with the Indy 500. The festival has been going on since 1957.
