It's always OK to ask a doctor questions about health concerns. If he makes you feel like you're taking up his time, then he isn't doing his job properly - the littlest thing you say could change a diagnosis or a treatment or impact your health in some other big way. Your appointment is your time with the doctor.

Your doctor is a very imporantat person in your life, you should be comfortable enough with them that you can ask them anything. Anytime you have a question about your body, no matter how hurried he is, you should be able to talk to him. If you don't speak up then he can never help you fix anything.

Most doctors will ask, "Do you have any questions?" Be prepared for your appointment with written questions in categories; symptoms, medications, laboratory test results, any recent visits to ER.

It is ALWAYS okay to ask your doctor a question of any kind. Remember, you are employing HIM, not the other way around. It is helpful to have a list of things you wish to discuss or questions you want to ask when you see him--and get him to answer!
